This came up in conversation in the day seat queue and it really got me thinking. We decided that you'd have to update the setting to something more contemporary but other than that you wouldn't have to change much. Here is my casting:

Baby – Cush Jumbo or Andrea Riseborough
Skinny – Laura Elphinstone or Sinead Matthews
Potts – Pippa Nixon or Michelle Terry
Sweets – Debbie Chazen
Oh I like this! Maybe their relationships would be a bit different, but let me think… I like Frances Barber as Mich..ela! Sally Hawkins for Skinny? To play Baby I’d like an actress who can seem fragile but wild…should her look a bit like the one who plays Skinny?
To play Baby you mention two very different actresses, but a black Baby it can be interesting…
