My name is Stacey, aka Rev. Stan (see the vid below for the origins of the name). I started my London theatre-going journey in 2007, writing occasionally about what I’d seen on a general interest blog.
By 2010, I was seeing a lot more theatre, so I decided to set up a dedicated blog primarily to keep a record of everything I’d seen. That was the birth of Rev. Stan’s Theatre Blog.
I watch a wide variety of plays at venues ranging from small fringe theatres with a stage the size of a tea tray, right up to the biggest theatres in London and the West End.
You won’t find me talking about musicals as they just aren’t my thing. Sorry.
Over the past few years, I’ve started making short video reviews – sometimes in addition to a written review, sometimes instead of, if time is short.
This blog is a labour of love; it doesn’t make me money, and I don’t get paid. What I see is a mix of PR invites to review and tickets I’ve bought myself.
When I’m buying my own tickets, I go for cheap seats.
By day, I earn a living as a self-employed business writer and trainer. I’m also a film fan and an avid reader of young adult fiction.
Thanks for reading, it really is appreciated.
You can also find me on Instagram and YouTube where I post all my video reviews and video interviews.
